If I’m being honest here, there are some weddings I shoot that absolutely feel like a job. Sassha and Nick’s wedding was the FARTHEST thing from feeling like a job. From the moment I met this couple at Starbucks, I just knew we’d be lifelong friends. They’re my favorite margarita buddies and I love that. They have THE MOST genuine, kind, loving souls that I have come across in a long time. I love them so much that I even showed up at their wedding two hours before I was supposed to, simply because I wanted their full day to be captured, and I secretly just wanted to spend more of their wedding day with them. They insisted that I enjoy the party as much as their guests, and oh boy did I. Also did I mention that their dog was present during the entirety of their wedding day?! We all know how much I love dogs. So needless to say, I kept trying to play with the dog in between photos. I could literally ramble on for pages about Sassha and Nick, but I know that you just want to look at their pictures. And honestly, I think their photos speak volumes to who they are as people. Check out my favorite people, my new friends, and my go-to margarita buddies.

  • SHIRLEY - BREATHTAKING SO BEAUTIFUL AND SO HAPPY I HOPE YOU GUYS ARE AS HAPPY AS THIS ALWAYS. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THESE WITH ME. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH LOVE AND HUGS AUNT SHIRLEY

This is Katie. Katie is my best friend. On November 22, 2014, I stood by her said as she married the man of her dreams, Todd. I cried, a whole lot. I was SO honored that she asked me to be IN the wedding instead of photograph it. Being her Maid of Honor was such a HUGE honor. I wanted to do something special for her, so I gifted her with a bridal portrait session.

I LITERALLY squealed the ENTIRE time I shot this session. Katie, you’re a stunner. She’s so naturally beautiful, joyful, giggly, goofy, and just plain wonderful. Her portraits turned out to be my favorite images from 2014. Everything about this session was wonderful. The lighting was impeccable (make sure you scroll down to see the final image inside the barn…you’ll see what I mean). Katie was willing and ready to do ANYTHING I asked. She was such a trooper, and dealt with me gasping every time I looked at the back of my camera and telling her how gorgeous she was every two seconds.

To Katie: KEEP BEING AWESOME. BEAUTIFUL. JOYFUL. WONDERFUL. Basically, just keep being you. Because you’re my best friend, and if you change, I just may have to slap you 😉
